An updated version of my Lego Mariokarts. Once again, credit to Ewok in Disguise for the awesome Yoshi! Credit for the Mario goes to me.
This is from the birthday cake my mom made for my 9-year-old's 9th birthday. It was a whole bunch of cupcakes all pushed together and then frosted over with a small MarioKart circuit track.
Not sold as Hot Wheels - Ride-Ons for Lego figures, but these still work. These are really "HW Screen Time".

To be entered in the Bricks LA Brickheadz Vignette Contest. It's Mario! In his classic go kart, ready to throw some turtle shell hurt onto an unsuspecting rival.
I wanted to be Daisy from Mariokart Wii, but there was no way to find a costume, so I made it myself. I hand sewed the orange stripes onto the white top and skinny jeans, designed and sewed the heart onto the back, sewed together the boots, constructed earrings, the crown detail and brooch from fake gems from a bracelet and felt, and I added orange kitchen gloves and a belt, and voila! The only motorcycle-riding Daisy costume I've ever seen. And I think it turned out wicked...
I bought a Nintendo DS Lite a few days ago, persuaded by @tomacintosh so we could battle eachother over wifi, which we will do when his DS arrives. Mario Kart is a lot of fun and I have Mario and Sonic Olympics winging their way to me as I speak. I am not usually into gaming, although the iPhone has introduced me to a lot of great stuff, so it will be interesting to see how long the DS novelty lasts.

So I watched a Harry Potter film then kicked some ass on MarioKart Wii.
..and had a few drinks.

Yeah, the races are named after him, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with his continued victories. I mean, you gotta trust a plumber, right??

Hey everyone and welcome back to 'This Week in the News'! We got a boatload of news this week so let's get to the stories!
The first story of the week is that Hawkgirl has been cast in the Arrow/Flash spinoff! The person who has been cast is a rather newcomer to acting and her name is Ciara Renée. Now according to the official description, "Kendra Saunders is a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back, earning her the moniker…Hawkgirl." Now this sound pretty interesting, I was a big fan of Hawkgirl in the JLA animated series so I'm pretty excited for this!
The next story of the week is another DC casting, but this time it's for the movie universe! Now it is being reported that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, the dude who played Kurse in Thor: The Dark World, is playing Killer Croc in Suicide Squad! I'm super excited because I've always wanted to see Killer Croc on the big screen!
The third piece of news this week is that Deadpool is officially going to be rated PG-13...NOT! Just check out this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUEkqZxLyrg Man that's video's great and probably one of the best April Fools pranks of that day! I'm so happy that Deadpool is going to be rated R, this movie's going to be awesome!!!
The final, and biggest, story of the week is that there was a HUGE Nintendo Direct on Wednesday! There were so many new things in that Direct, so I just picked out the best things from the direct and I will talk about them.
1. The Mewtwo footage looked freaking awesome and Club Nintendo members who registered both versions of Smash get him in 2 weeks!!! YES!!
2. Lucas is coming back as DLC in June...eh...
3. More Smash Bros amiibos coming in July and September! I can't wait to get my hands on Olimar, Bowser Jr., and Dr. Mario!
4. Splatoon is getting amiibos! I probably won't get all 3, I'll probably just get the blue one.
5. Yoshi's Wooly World is getting amiibos! There are so cool I'm definatly going to pick up the green one!
6. Mariokart 8 DLC footage was shown, the release date is April 23, and 200 cc is coming! I can't wait to ge tback into Mariokart when this DLC comes out, it's going to be a blast!!

Made with a plain old cardboard box, hot glue, paint, and printed out some artwork for the logos, headlights, and wheel hubs.
Mario suit was a store bought one... I wasn't going to sew this Halloween.

A few weeks ago my dad, my sister, my brother, and I went walking around the woods near our house, and we came across a sun-bleached turtle shell. Immediately after seeing it, two thoughts instantly came to mind. One, I have to take a picture with this. And two, Mario Kart. So I set out to make a real-life Mario Kart scenario, complete with those evil turtle shells that always manage to hit you when you’re two feet from the finish line, and the bananas that never fail to come out of nowhere and trip you up. (And under the unfortunate circumstance that you trip on a banana YOU put there in the first place.)
Thank you to my brother for providing the PERFECT expression. Hahaha. :)

Mario Kart felt cutout customization. The inner details were handmade stitched to produce the volume.
I haven't played any gameboy games for a long long time! But this past week, in one shot, I brought 4 games so I could play with them on my new Nintendo DS Lite. My ever-favorite is Tetris hands down. I had played "Tetris Worlds" for gameboy advance before, so it was so ugly, so I'm super happy this version of Tetris is so cute!
I don't get how to play Super Mario 64 at all.
