Campground rules and regulations are posted at the site. There are no dumpsters on site, visitors must pack in and out their trash.

Campsites: 12 developed sites--- At this time, there is not a reservation system in place for the campsites. Campsites are on a first come first serve basis.

Overnight Camping Fees: $5.00 per vehicle/ per night

This site is equipped picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, horseshoe pits, and boat ramp with a dock. There is no Day-use allowed and facilities are for paid overnight campers only.

We finally took a day to go in search of autumn color in Arizona. I can't believe we waited so long to do this. The Mogollon Rim has some magical hidden gems amidst the pine, fir, aspen, oak and maple trees. Also saw some big ol' fresh bear scat, and huge elk prints. Saw a group of female elk on the drive out, too.

During the Highland Maple Festival in Highland County, Virginia, a number of sugar camps demonstrated the process of making maple syrup. At Rexrode's Sugar Orchard near Hightown, the demo featured a wood-fired open pan evaporator. A significant amount of sugar water is boiled away to create the finished product; as noted on the county's website, about 40 quarts of sugar water are needed to make one quart of syrup. This is a crop from a horizontal shot.

I had lots of fun taking popping colour pictures this week and couldn't decide which one to put in the competition. I was going to put the strawberry puddings in because the red really popped, for me anyway, but I also think these leaves remind me a bit of exploding fireworks. Steve and Simon were pruning their bonsais and these were some leaves which were removed.
