The graph shows emissions of N20 in Norway from 1985 to 1996 with projections to 2010. N20 can occur naturally or have anthropogenic sources such as fertilizers, combustion and various industrial processes.

In the middle of Spitsbergen is the administrative centre of Svalbard. This is Longyearbyen. North of Longyearbyen is the Russian mining town of Pyramiden abandoned only a few years ago with everything still in place including books in the library. I visited Barentsburg, which is still an active Russian mining community.
Which I took because I didn't have a proper data plan, and couldn't get Google Maps like a normal 21st century smartphone person.

So friends were hanging out in the city... I wanted to join, but I also wanted to go ride. SOLUTION!
(I started at like 2:30pm, which isn't all that unusual for me. Total moving time was like 3:40-something, at least for the trip to the city. I think it was closer to 5 hours with stops though)
