One of the highlights of my trip to Japan was realising my dream of photographing the Snow Monkeys of Jigokundani (near Nagano) & the whole experience left me thinking about how important it is we be thankful for evolution & that we should celebrate it with more attention then we give our imaginary gods.
Taken with Sony A7RII & the legendary vintage Tamron Adaptall 180mm f/2.5 lens;. It was my first time travelling with the Sony & i'm loving how effective it is with older manual focus/aperture lenses.
Please feel free to this post or individual images & even if you feel so inspired. I think it's important everyone take some time out to see ourselves in another creatures eyes & I'd personally love it if more people got to view my work.

Luna and Pippin didn't want to look at the camera for this shot, and they couldn't pick the same direction.
Shot wide open with a manual focus, Pentax Super Takumar 70-200 f/4.0 on a Canon 20D with a Pentax k-mount to Eos adapter.
US Highway 40 in eastern Utah, far from the nearest town. The sun was setting behind me, and the light was low and uneven but quite dramatic.
This shot was so easy with my Nikon F100. Plus the old fully manual focus Vivitar macro lens has a tunnel like hood already in the design, so shooting into the light was a breeze.
