„Willst du für den Rest deines Lebens gezuckertes Wasser verkaufen oder willst du die Welt verändern?“ Mit diesen Worten lockte Steve Jobs den CEO von Pepsi, John Sculley, zu Apple. Sculley bekam weniger Geld – aber dafür Bedeutung: Sein neuer Job veränderte etwas. Veränderst du etwas mit deinem Job? Bist du wenigstens mit deinem Gehalt zufrieden? Wahrscheinlich nicht: Fast 50 Prozent der Deutschen sind unzufrieden im Job.
Nackte Zahlen lügen nicht
Der Kopf dröhnt, der Nacken schmerzt und der Schlaf ist genauso erholsam wie ein Fallschirmsprung. Das macht er, der lange Arbeitsalltag – jeder Dritte ist erschöpft, bei 17 Prozent leidet die Gesundheit. Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt die aktuelle Studie der ManpowerGroup über die Jobzufriedenheit in Deutschland – und zwar für das Jahr 2019.
Die Zahlen sind hässlich: Knapp 50 Prozent sind unzufrieden im Job. Das sind ca. 22 Millionen Deutsche – das ist knapp die gesamte Bevölkerung Australiens. Ein ganzer, unzufriedener Kontinent. Aber es muss doch eine Lösung geben; Geld muss es doch richten?
Dann wenigstens mehr Geld…?
Selbstverständlich: Mehr Geld macht dich vorerst glücklich. Du bist aufgeregt – so viel Geld –, siehst, was du dir alles kaufen kannst und dann tust du es. Ein neues Auto, Fernseher, Laptop – Du fühlst dich belebt und zufrieden. Du hast es geschafft!
Aber hast du es wirklich geschafft? Die Freude über mehr Geld verblasst schnell wie der Lack des neues Mercedes.
