Mannequin Heads in the vintage market shop. Taken in the vintage shop at the back of the Norwich market.
I tried again, and got slightly better results. I used manual focus, changed the speed from 400 ASA to 200, and didn't get quite as close. While my camera can focus really closely up with autofocus, it doesn't seem to be able to do it with manual focus (unless I'm doing something wrong). But these are definitely better than the first batch.
I'm still trying to find an outfit for this blouse that doesn't look too sweet, and this is my most recent idea. I also really like the idea of wearing less common colour combinations together hahaha.
Still not liking it as much - I think my issue is the shoes. I'll probably wear them with black shoes! And most likely lacy tights as well. I have absolutely no idea if the headdress actually works well, but it looked better than the other headbands that I threw on!

Charlevoix, Michigan. One of the things I find interesting about mannequins is the variety you can find if you look hard enough. Really old ones are quite different from the new ones and there are a large range of poses. I love the way this one's features and hair are painted. Generally, I'm looking for mannequins with hair and eyes, lips etc painted on them. These are getting harder to find as many department stores have replaced them with headless ones or featureless ones with no hair. I thought this one was unusual.
