Many shops in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar (Kapalıçarşı) display a variety of northern European looking mannequins, and at times their appearance is quite hilarious: fractured skulls, facial cracks and noses that look like they got punched. And very popular are added facial hair paint jobs on male mannequins.

All in all a colorful and humorous cruise through the world of fashion, and as usual, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The mannequins have small heads, and there are many different styles. The hair and facial expression change, not to mention the paint. Honestly, they look scary.

Mannequins with holograms

I paid a visit to the Columbus Cultural art Center (where I do my paintings). I checked on my locker and saw the Mannequins hanging out in the dungeon, uh, basement. I found it a little odd looking with all the plastic draped and hanging over their heads and bodies.
