never been a great photoshop user, but a friend of mine asked me to do some manipulations, so here is the result... i guess it's quite nice =D

This is a manipulation of this picture based on comments given in this thread.
Using gimp.
I treated separately the sky& tree to remove the natural sky gradient.
The side-effect is that the top of the tree is a bit over contrasted.
I applied a sepia tone following this tutorial (sorry in French): applying a sepia layer in tone mode, with a mask equal to the b&w but with a Gaussian level curve to apply sepia only to the mid-tones.
Finally I enhanced slightly the contrast of the 2/3 bottom.
Its been one year today I uploaded my first image on Flickr. As you can see I had a little get together at my place with a few close friends to celebrate.
I like to think my images have improved a little and its been very inspiring looking through all your photo streams for the past twelve months, I'm always finding new things I want to try.
