An old mangle spotted and snapped in a run down, forgotten barn somewhere in deepest darkest Wiltshire

Who is this chap - mangled with the scanner?

This screw started out round. After it stripped while trying to drive it into some soft aluminum, I extracted it with some vice grips. Why are screws (particularly self tapping sheet metal screws) softer than the material they are generally driven into?

Beaches at Havelock Island are often seen with felled trees like this one, a result of a tsunami in 2004 that permanently altered the mangrove forests and tree-lines.

I shot this Blue Banded Bee in bright sunlight & the flash fired as well - it was washed out so I just adjusted it to look a bit different. The eye looks interesting if nothing else.

digitally mangled - no idea what happened but it's odd - the dark strip in the middle clearly has parts of another photo incorporated in it.

My Good Man was out mowing the yard today when driving under a tree his hat was knocked off.

The rotary mower ran over it. We had a good laugh when he came in and I just had to take a picture.
