Some unrecognisable pieces of wreckage from the RAF Canberra jet which crashed near the summit of t-Sagairt Mor in 1956.
We're having to climb t-Sagairt Mor to reach Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach, our final destination. Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach (pronounced Carn a-Corry voddoyich - or something like) stands at 1118 meters (3667 feet) and completes my circuit of the five Munro's of White Mounth. It's taken me 3 years and 4 separate climbs to complete this circuit, starting with my first ever Munro Lochnagar in 2016, but I'm there at last!!
An odd one for Fence Friday. A little bit of decking next to a canal boat mooring, neatly decorated with an old mangle converted to a flowerpot. Obviously well cared for.

Otherwise know as a wringer. Used to help with the drying of clothes washing. A 'green' appliance before going green was even thought about. This one is on display in Crawley Museum. It was made locally by F.T. Mitchell.
My grandmother had one very similar to this that was kept outside the backdoor in the garden. She was still using it in the 1960's. Later versions were much more lightly built and sometimes attached to early types washing machines.
A mixture of waves crashing together forming a unique formation. So interesting to see the different shapes that can be formed by powerful waves.

beautiful merced river in Yosemite valley. This was taken early morning where the mist was coming off the water making for a very dynamic shot.

There are two Dolly Tubs to wash the clothes (the early 'washing machine'). Each one has a posher (to agitate the washing). There are also two mangles (the origin of the spin dryer?).

Though born in sixties of the previous century I had never heard of this device which, according to Wikipedia, is "a mechanical laundry aid consisting of two rollers in a sturdy frame, connected by cogs and, in its home version, powered by a hand crank".
It looks as this particular piece will be adapted for a quite different job. Meanwhile it gets a probably deserved rest from its old toils :)
