This male lion seemed very happy with himself especially when the female in the earlier shot roared. He roared, thankfully, back.

The tide was very low and this reddish egret was fishing very close to the shore for a long while allowing me plenty of opportunities to take shots from all kind of angles, including this one when he put his lion style mane on full display after an unsuccessful dive... @Bolsa Chica ecological reserve.

As another successful weekend drew to a close and trains started petering out, I readied for home. However, ATCS indicated an eastbound train on the Dayton District. Hell, why not?

To my surprise, NS 4003 was leading this evening's NS 376, seen crossing over the Miami River south of Dayton, OH.

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK is one of the largest game reserves in Africa. The former owners of our property had a horse. While hiking today, I found these strands of mane hanging in a tree that the horse used to rub himself against. The sun was illuminating them as they swayed gently in the breeze.
