Makeup 101: Eva came up to visit and to "do my eyes". Not sure exactly what I want...maybe "Goth" for Halloween... maybe drag??? Never done drag or Goth..What should I do?? It was fun just hanging out with her and now I know how I'll look in "L-Word" make-up... Shane is SO HOTT!

So I was saying how I did some work this weekend with a new make-up artist...well these aren't the model pictures, these are the pictures of the make-up artist herself. Yes, I was totally surrounded by beautiful, photogenic people on this one! Lucky me!

I compared three different cosmetic companies and researched how they promote their brand and products.
Make up companies have a large line products and are competing against other brands who are very similar and have the same goal in reaching the consumer. The difference is targeting the type of consumer of which they desire and how will the consumer will use the product. Does the consumer want to have a natural look? Glamourous look? Do they need make-up that's anti-aging or non- comedogenic? What does our customer need to look and feel better?
Make Up Forever takes on a glamourous approach as well, promoting their professional artist workshops, displaying photos of various high-glamour looks used in film and photography, and using flash on their website to go the extra step. Make Up Forever is primarily used by professionals, but they also target everyday people as well. They constantly promote "how-to" looks in department stores to encourage fun make-up experimentation by everyday people.
