This is not a LeLutka 3.0 update. While experimenting with the 3.0 demo, I decided to see what I looked like without make-up, and only using the LeLutka 2.5 HD eyebrows.
I haven't seen a clean face since I updated myself to, I guess....Mimi 4.0 ^_^
PS: This shape used to be Nuri 2.5. Perspective distortion has reduced my lips and jaw-line a lot.

So.. I finally finished writing an update on my "About" page. I promised an update in May 2017, but that never really happened so the 'real' last update is from 2013.
Lots of stuff happened so this update is quite a few paragraphs longer than the one in 2013.
Sooo... grab a strong coffee to stay awake reading my update!! ☕
Again.. thanks so much for all the Flickr-messages.. I know I'm terrible with replying but I appreciate every message!
(except the wedding proposals.. the answer is NO!! ) 😐

It's a hard decision to post such a picture. I've look at it for so many days now and I hesitated sometime spending long moment in front of it. I hope nobody will see disrespect for doing it. Beyond this woman, beyond the crazyness investing all the picture, I see connections lost between people. I see souvenirs as a reality. I see loneliness as a companion in life.
There's no beauty with living in the street. There's harshness, there's illness in body or mind, there's violence and death. Respecting people I shoot is for me to show them as they are. Not better, not worse. It's a hard work. In a way, I'm like a stain on this picture : I would have to post it without having taking it.
Though technically this is an awful shot, it is, for me, a first key point in my work in the street.
I haven't been anywhere dressed for a while, mainly due to lockdown, but I have had the odd times when I've been experimenting with different foundation, powders etc.at home, for when I do eventually venture out again. I was trying out the "baking" technique under my eyes here with concealer, beauty blender and loose powder that is all the rage at the moment and followed a youtube tutorial. I'm not sure if its worth all the bother to be honest, I should probably just get some tear trough filler and botox, there is only so much makeup can do! It's my own hair here, plus a few clip in hair extensions for added volume
i asked her to pose for me. I cant imagine if i didnt bring strobe... too dark... the prime lens wont help... beside that i want to show the interior as its best...
using strobe is not simple... we have to count in which direction we want to lighting the object...
maybe for you strobist is easy hehe...
for me... its difficult like i do hiking to a mountain...
every photography has its own difficulties... you cant say its more easier than the other...

I took this photo quite a while ago and just found it on my phone when I was going through my files
I was wearing a lot of makeup in this one, Im not sure if I like myself with such heavy slap these days, I think it probably looks aging, but I thought I'd post it all the same.

Face up made by me
Lovely make up lesson - really enjoyed is and am looking forward to applying new techniques next time Sophie is out and about.
I had a rather fab time last week finally getting to put on my make-up, lingerie, dress and high heels and a chance to wear some wigs I absolutely love. I was Sao thrilled and full of joy to be en femme again I ended up recording several short spontaneous videos in which I expressed my delight.
This picture is cropped from a still frame taken from one of the videos. I bought a teardrop shaped beauty sponge as I was keen to experiment with my MAC full coverage foundation. II usually apply it with a brush and the final results are never as smooth as I hope them to be. I saw someone doing their foundation (on a You Tube video) with the teardrop sponge and loved the results.
I do have an airbrush make-up applicator which definitely produces the smoothest and best looking results. However, I was out of the silicone make-up required to use with the airbrush. I wanted a solution that would be better than the usual brush or latex wedge I use for foundation application. It would enable a small travel make-up kit to be used which I’m keen to assemble for the future.
I also wanted more glowing skin rather than my usual mat powder finish so I wanted a bit of a shine to my face and chest area. The MAC full coverage has a lovely finish and gently rolling on the foundation as opposed to using the brush strokes or latex wedge patting produce a much smoother finish. I was rather thrilled by it. To maintain the glowing look I was after I used gel blusher in soft pink rathe than powder blusher.
I was not prepared for the psychological impact applying my make-up in this way would have on me, it really made feel alive when I saw the finish. I loved it far more than the matt, somewhat dry, powder finish I usually have. In fact it definitely made me feel more feminine than ever before!
This is the sponge applicator I used for my foundation. I bought mine on Amazon. This is a link to a UK site so you can see the type of sponge applicator I used (it is less expensive on Amazon): www.boots.com/beautyblender-classic-sponge-10214712
