I was very fortunate to have an internationally trained and acclaimed make-up artist come to Studio d'Xavier this evening. Once again, I cannot say too much about what is occuring behind the big iron gates of the studio, but I couldn't resist getting a few shots of the make-up in progress. Thank you for that, James and Lauren.

I went shopping the other night and needed a new black mascara so I stopped in at the Bobbi Brown cosmetics counter. I think that almost all of the make up I use now is between Mac and Bobbi Brown products. I met a very nice sales girl, Cristina, and she helped me pick out the mascara and we started chatting and I asked her what she thought of my make up. She said it was done well but said I should highlight my pretty eyes more. Ok, the flattery was the bait that hooked me and she told me to sit down and she would show me! Well.... you know what happened, yes I ended up getting some eye cosmetics too, so I laughed and told her she was a good sales person! But honestly she was very nice and gave me her card and told me to stop by again. I thank her for taking a few pics for me! Very fun!
This is the Make-up retail store for Make-Up Designory. The Los Angeles Campus of the school is also in this building. My daughter is going to school here to become a professional make-up artist - everything from Fashion, to Theater to Special Effects.

Today we teach students from around the world at our main campus in Burbank, California, and our East Coast branch campus in New York’s vibrant SoHo neighborhood. I've got two patterns in the new book the Joy of Sox. This pair is called Make Up Socks.
These were designed about 1.5 years ago. This book publishing thing takes time.
Make-Up make people feel/look good. But no matter how much make-up you put on, it doesn't change who you are or where you're from.
