Davos is nearby my hometown in the Swiss Alps. We went there for some summer toboggan run fun. A cable car takes you up to Schatzalp, also called the Magic Mountain.
I processed a balanced and a soft HDR photo from a RAW exposure, merged them, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves.

The layers of cirrostratus make the sky this colorful. Situation of low pressure after a cold front. It may be announcing a new front coming.
It can be poorly appreciated but behind the buildings of the center-left of the picture, there is the Montserrat magic mountain.
Ruhrnight hieß die von Uwe Schmidt organisierte Tour durch das Ruhrgebiet. Es war kalt und nass, aber es hat Spaß gemacht. Meine Kamera hatte allerdings mit dem Regen und beschlagenem Glas zu kämpfen :)
Wie der Name schon andeutet waren Nachtaufahmen das Ziel und das nicht nur zur blauen Stunde, sondern auch echte Nachtaufnahmen. Hier seht ihr Tiger & Turtle als Panorama aus zwei Aufnahmen.

The Magic Mountain - Der Zauberberg - is a novel by Thomas Mann, first published in German in November 1924. It is widely considered to be one of the most influential works of twentieth-century German literature. In part, the work reflected Mann's experiences and impressions during a period when his wife, who was suffering from a lung complaint, resided at Dr. Friedrich Jessen's Waldsanatorium in Davos, Switzerland for several months.
Eine der bekanntesten Landmarken im Ruhrgebiet ist Tiger. & Turtle auf dem Magic Mountain im Duisburger Süden, unweit der Hüttenwerks.

Gestern war ich auf Fototour mit Uwe Schmidt durch das Ruhrgebiet. Zunächst hatten wir Pech mit dem Wetter, aber gegen Mittag wurde es besser und es war eine interessante Tour über die Halden des Ruhrgebiets.

Wir hatten schlechtes Wetter dort und meine Kamera ist bei ISO 400 jenseits ihrer Grenzen ;)
Aber für ein Stativ vibriert die Achterbahn zu sehr.
