I bought a Targus mini tripod with bendy legs this weekend at Target for $14. I LOVE IT! We went to the boardwalk after dinner tonight and I used it to attach to all sorts of things, set the self timer, and took several pictures of me and David. I'm posting them as motivation to myself to keep going to Curves regularly. ;)
I wish there wasn't a light right above my head... maybe I'll fix that some time in gimp. I told him at the last minute to look at me (I was running back and forth to the camera and to pose the entire time...) and I like how this one turned out, despite the light.
I had always dreamt of this shot, all my life, whenever I would see a spider web, I would splash some water and hope to see something as spectacular as this. Realized that many things this beautiful are not man-made!

If I don't cut it down, the underground portion of this very old and large poison oak vine will not sprout base growth. I have learned that cutting similar poison oak vines removes the inhibition to growth for the rest of the plant causing sprouting at the base in the following year.
A wizened, gnarly tree stands on the tip of Sax Point. The tiny moon hangs above it in the late day sky.
A lot of people, who don't know Almere, call it a "gray and ugly city filled with concrete". They don't see the beautiful parts of the town. As on these pictures on a spring evening.

I know the window's dirty. But this is my first diptych. I woke up at 5 am this morning, and looking outside my window, I saw my usual view, yet at this hour, bathed in a magic light. I had to take a photo. And then go back to sleep. And later drink coffee.
