Went back to the 'magic tree' (see earlier post) and this little beauty showed up again. It didn't stay around long, but did stand still for a short period. There must have been several in the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge because we had a couple of more sightings - see photo in first comment below.

Just before the festivities on Christas Eve I had to take a half an hour walk with my camera to witness this late evening light. The ground was covered with snow and the trees full of frozen ice/snow flies creating all kinds of shapes and figures. After a while I saw dolphins, birds and lions inside the ice sculptures.

Winter with the perfect light setting can literally blow anyones mind away.

I know it doesn't look it, but I swear every picture I took in Holland had to be DE-saturated -- the colors were just amazingly vivid and even the default processing of the RAW files looked over the top. This was taken at Keukenhof Gardens, the most amazing garden I've ever seen. Only open two months a year, it contains millions and millions of blooming bulbs -- tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, etc. An incredible place that is impossible to do justice to in photographs.

Last sunday in the morning i had shoot this beautiful picture with my cheep minolta 17-35 wide angel lens.

Very beautiful Sunrise at creux de van with a magic tree in the front.

The Name of this place is creux de van, high over the lake Neuenburgsee , Jura - switzerland.

The Rocks there are 160m high.
