This is the image I used of myself in the flash animation at www.disneyphotopass.com. This is one of the "Magic Shot" locations.
Not a magic shot, but I have never seen these landed before. This one just came down in front of me and landed, not knowing I was there. I took a number of shots but it was raining slightly and the light was tough. (quite dissapointed really because it was quite close.) Shutter was a bit slow I think.

Just realised I saved the original Cheese Magic shot. And had forgotten about the intrusion of the cyclist on the left, which is why I cropped the way I did. I suppose, given way too much time on my hands I could have cloned him out in photoshop, I really coudn't be arsed at the time. The jaunty tilt of the camera speaks volumes about my intrinsic laziness when out shooting for fun. I'm ashamed... or not.

This is the pose I set out to get last night. Just one second later Don got the magic shot. If you look closely at his left foot, you can see that he's just released his talons and getting ready to fly.

Each year I muster up the courage to attempt our annual holiday photo. This usually translates to me picking the "vision" and the setting, and then wrangling my husband and two dogs to get into a pose. After I get their "shot," I follow up with a couple more to get me inserted into the frame. Then I take all the pieces and stitch them together into my digital laboratory. Since I was going for a northwoods feel, my backyard didn't quite achieve the desired result. So, I entrusted that part of the process to the AI elves, who happily supplied me with just the setting I was looking for. After about four hours of fiddling away at this, I emerged with the final result. That said, there were a lot of outtakes that are - arguably - more interesting than the final image itself.
So, for your viewing pleasure, here are those outtakes from the 2025 Holiday photoshoot session.

The triangulation of the figure in the foreground with the two ships adds a special sense of perspective. Magic shot. (My only contribution is a little cropping and a slight red grad dropped onto the top of the frame to emphasise the sun in the clouds .)
