a medium-size stork with a wide distribution in Asia and in Africa. It can be found in different aquatic habitats such as wet or flooded grasslands, marshes, riverine areas and in irrigated fields.

this beautiful female Leopard was found on a dry plateau in Panna Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh, India.

With no other vehicles in the area we were able to make a slow approach and to get fairly close to her and to observe her for half an hour

my first ever sighting of this shy species on a dry and rocky plateau in Panna Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh, India.

It might actually be pregnant given the belly profile.

 

The Deccan Gazelle is a subspecies of the Chinkara or Indian Gazelle.

This small antelope is able to live with minimal water and lives in dry regions of India, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan.

The males have prominent S-shaped horns and some females like this one have short horns.

I had seen this beautiful species a few times but it is hard to photograph as it prefers bushes and thickets and moves all the time

On this image I noticed that the front of its bill resembles that of a shrike

I think the two dancing girls were 18 or 19 years old? They were traveling with their small group of musicians, and must have been contracted out of some dance bar in Gwalior, or maybe Udaipur? I'm not sure I couldn't get a straight answer.
