All recycled materials! I like the outer stitchery for contrast, and the subtle nod to primary colors. Handmade belt, too, and it's removable.

I was making cookies on Friday night and thought I'd play around with my new flash to see what it's like. Quick tip - roll cookies out in powdered sugar instead of flour so they don't get that flour taste and the dough doesn't get dry (trust me once you do it you can't go back to flour)
Gingerbread cookies are my faves at the holidays. Here's my recipe:
Made from scratch. Not a base, this body wash is made with coconut, avocado, olive, shea butter, and castor oil.
This process takes about 3.5 hours.
Yeah, I know. Not exactly accurate. But ,whaddaya want for Starbucks stir sticks, popsicle sticks, metal washers, and pieces of plastic? Anyway, I like it.
Yeast for pizza dough. I followed the instructions for "proofing" the yeast, and the foaminess told me that it was active.
I think in the past when I've had yeast cooking failures, I might have fried the yeast with water that was too hot. I don't have a cooking thermometer, but this time I used a darkroom thermometer that I never actually used in a darkroom that's been collecting dust. Yay!
This is the finished camera. I used reloadable film cannisters to store the film in, securely taped with electrical tape to the camera to prevent light leaks. I wound it using a little manicure tool that is long, thin, and basically flat. I drew an arrow on it so I'd remember which way the film needed to be wound.
Keep going through my stream to see how I made it-->

I love Nutella but it contains a lot of ingredients I don't like. If you check out this link: www.wideopeneats.com/nutella-ingredients/ it shows you whats in it and almost 1/2 of a jar is "sugar!" That's not healthy! Mine has a little maple syrup to sweeten. In mine the main ingredient is Organic Roasted Hazelnuts that I roasted myself! Now that's better! Mine tastes pretty good, though it's not as smooth as the stuff you buy in the grocery store because I made it in a food processor. If I made it in my Vitamix it would be much creamier. But I don't mind a little bit of crunch. I'm going to try this on toast!

Last night I decided to make pizza with some of the leftover pork we had. I made the crust from scratch, substituting in one cup of whole wheat flour for a cup of all-purpose, and topped it with homemade pizza sauce, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, cheese, the leftover pork, and the sofrito Kurt had made. It was good -- though I need to refine the crust a bit. I think I need to heat my pizza stone in the oven and then slide the unbaked pizza on to it. We're having pizza again tonight just so I can try that out. Hehe.
