A 'no gift' #christmas, meant more opportunity to get #creative. It's not that we didn't want to #give, rather to give with lots of #love. These #chocolate #truffles, the latest ones made, were by far, the best, and we're still experimenting 😉. Fresh fruit goes quickly. I love buying it in bulk because it is so much cheaper. This also means that it goes bad faster than we can eat it. So I've resolved to canning and preserving fruit. this was my first attempt at strawberry preserves and blueberry/strawberry jam. I was quite pleased. I tested the jam on a fresh peanutbutter and jam sandwhich. It was amazing!
I tinkered with the "I Like You" recipe by substituting regular flour for cake flour and just dumping a handful of dry brown sugar over the pineapple mix before pouring in the rest of the batter.
