this is one of those tiny little "parachutes" that fly out of the thistle head when it's gone to seed. like dandelions, this is the way the seeds are scattered about.

I took this photo with an 45-150mm lense (Lumix G Vario H-FS45-150).
The orange background is actually a wooden table with a little color correction.
Last Fall I found this dead insect on the sidewalk. It looks like a wasp but I had never seen one so small. I used the macro setting on my camera to take this photo. After doing more research, I am convinced this is actually a male ant. They have wings and live only long enough to mate.
This picture is howing some utric leaves right against the side of the glass about 1 and a 1/2 cm's from the top.
This is a macro shot of satay. Satay is basically meat on stick. Either chicken or beef. They are always cook over hot coal, like bbq. Most malays love satay, it's delicious!! And when added with its special sauce, I would say it's a malay delicacy!!
Got my Ricoh GR Digital II this morning and was pleasantly surprised by what this small but amazing camera can do. :)
My first ever macro shot with my Olympus 12-50 (24-100mm) lens. Even those hairs are pretty sharp. In the Temperate House.
I set up my camera close to a window, and made a little box background. Set the aperture to F32, and forced ISO 100.
