Weather not so good today but went out after lunch to try my New Panasonic G9 with the Olympus 60mm macro.
The Huge viewfinder, instant focus and hair trigger shutter release on the G9 makes shooting macro a new experience
I think it works OK

One of the first actually decent macro photos I've taken. Would love to get into plants and insects, but probably need a ring flash/light to achieve that.
Newly emerged harlequin ladybird. I went back to check on this pupa and found an empty shell but luckily the ladybird was on the underside of the leaf. Natural light. Focus stacked using zerene
Sharp-tailed bee Coelioxys elongata. Natural light. Focus stacked using zerene. Cleptoparasites of some Megachile and Anthophora Bees
That ant started looking at me after my several attempts of taking a good capture. It stared at me for almost a minute. My lens was pretty close, I would say like at 10cm away from it. That ant was not a coward at all!
Still plenty for me to learn regarding the macro world. So much colour, pattern and beauty. Then there is the ID of plant and insects but I'm have fun working on that.
Using kit lens...
Got 10mm lens which is always mounted
on my camera as I shoot landscape only,so this 18-55
is not bad for macro if it is in landscape...
view large (thanks for reminding me martin)
pretty much the same shot, different lighting, different dof, darker tones
