I don’t know how or why but my Macromondays posting got deleted!! It just vanished!!! SIGH…So I’m reposting.
It had 25 faves and more than 350 views and lots of comments- sigh again
When I can get to my laptop, I’ll add the size verification and the context shots to the first comment box. This portion of the envelope is about 4.6 cms

This is Ratmolly's egg. She is a Phoenix hen, the size of a Bantam hen so her eggs are very small (about an inch and a half tall). She was the only one to survive out of a dozen various breeds of fertilized eggs that I bought at auction. She is dwarfed by her large breed sisters and although not known to be prolific egg producers she actually gives me one every day or every other day. I love her feisty little spirit!

Taken using a 20mm extension tube, window lit with a plain white background, and a reflector used to bounce light back onto the shoe. Photoshop was used to desaturate, add contrast, a sepia tone, haze, texture, grain and a pale vignette.

Some olive oil floating on water in a glass dish on top of striped wrapping paper. I was hoping to get some iridescence to photograph, but no luck. So I had to content myself with bubbles instead! In this one, I liked the way the stripes are distorted in the large bubble and repeated in the smaller ones. Looks like a host of hot air balloons! I struggled with deciding whether to put up this one or one cropped tighter on the bubbles. I finally decided on this one because it shows the edges of the larger oil droplets on the right, with tiny air bubbles trapped inside. The tighter crop can be seen on my photostream, or try zooming in on the bubbles.
