"Get Down on It" Week Continues! A 7-day celebration of looking down our noses at our subjects, much like King Henry VIII did.

Swingset: When I was little, all I ever wanted was to go as high as I could on the swings so that my feet would touch the sun. And yes, I fell on my head more than once while trying. I realize that explains a lot.

Stack for Macro Mondays, as defined as pile or heap of items placed one on top of the other with at least three single elements. And since I have a small bag full of them, for one of the last Macro Monday challenges, why not use them again.

Crown caps stack from different brands of beer, stacked on top of each other, is less simple then it looks, the just break down fast, by mechanical movement or minor shocks.

It has rained here in Chicago for nearly two weeks straight. When did Fall become synonomous with damp, wet & soggy? How are we supposed to enjoy the sound of rustling leaves when they're all droopy & dreary? I sure wouldn't feel like rustling if I were soaking wet all the time.

Brought my Christmas decorations out of the loft and found this one hibernating on a small metal Christmas tree decoration.

Here, there this this is the End, a small cup for sake, a set of nicely decorated chopsticks and a nice plate with some food, nice and found memories for several outings at an Izakaya, 居酒屋, typical nice Japanese restaurant.

Things I ♥ Month Continues! I'll bet you think this is another shot of jelly beans like last month, right? Nope. I have switched out the contents for another yummy treat that I love even more than candy (but something just as sweet)...

Bokeh in a Bottle: I love bokeh! Not sure when I first developed a taste for it, but now I crave it on a daily basis (you might even use the word addict). Wherever I go, I like to keep a jar of it nearby for when I need a quick, healthy snack. I like the assorted colors kind, but black & white is just as tasty. Mm-mm-good. :)~

Playing with water drops. This caterpillar appeared to like them. Some people have asked if these drops are real. They are! They are water drops refracting the flowers behind. The caterpillar was tiny and when it walked in I could not resist this shot.

What is Knolling? Does this photo meet my new interpretation or is it part oft he learning curve?

Katydid: Shot this fella late last summer as he was quietly chomping away on a coneflower. He graciously posed for a few close-ups, then slowly sauntered away (totally unimpressed with my macro-insect bravery).

Bzzzzz ... she won't bite ... might sting you but ... I found her peering over a rose petal ... she had been watching me for a time. Hasn't she got lovely golden eyes? :-)

This may look like a moth but, for once, this is not a moth ☺️ - this is Stenophylax permistus, a caddis fly, an insect that spends its early life as a larva (some species are cased and some are caseless) in water which then transforms and emerges as a winged adult to breed and continue the cycle, laying eggs in water for the next generation. This one came to my moth trap in my garden - they are attracted to light, unlike some other caddis species. They are about an inch long and have a noticeable cream stripe running along the back when viewed from above, caused by a cream stripe along the leading edge of each wing. They are on the wing from April to June and August to November with a summer diapause (meaning they are not on the wing during this time due to a suspended development phase).

It's Forbidden Fruit Week! A week-long dedication to those naturally sweet treats that are tasty any time of day!

Blueberries: I love the taste of blueberries, especially when they show up inside a pie with their cousins Boysenberry and Raspberry. Yummy. :)~

It's Sweets Week! A week-long tribute to tasty sugar treats that are no good for us, but so good to us.

Chocolate Enchantment Lollipop: This mind-bending, creamy molasses-caramel treat wrapped in dark chocolate is from Sarah's Sweet Shoppe on the famous Oak Street in Chicago...the same place I purchased this heavenly snack.

Oh, Sarah...you make me smile. And go to the gym.
