We Marie Kondo’d our place
Until there was nothing left
And we realized something
Material possessions had only brought us weight
Not any promised joy.
And so we lit our match and
unlike Lot’s wife
We never looked back.
Still, I think Lot’s wife got a bad wrap.
It takes courage to remember
And turning a woman into a pillar of salt was not God’s finest moment.

...with apologies to Orson Welles. New flowers all year long at our house. May this one unfold into a happier world.

This is a very small leaf. It is thick with dew. The shallow depth of field creates the narrow band of focus and the otherwise sparkly back and foreground bokeh. The was a lot of crazy chromatic stuff in the original so I treated it with a filter to remove a lot of it except various shades of green Some rainbows remain. I have about 1400 shots like this in my Thousand Drops of Light album.

Such an adapter makes your vintage lens more macro capable...
With some lenses, such an adapter makes it possible to shoot images in size between postcard format and credit card format.
If the adapter is not extended (shown left), you can focus to infinity.

Part of the 52 weeks of 2015
Week No: 37
Theme: Macro
I tried a few ideas for this. I often take close ups of flowers so I decided to do something different.
The solution came to me while having a snack.... mmm chocolate. These Cadburys Twirl chocolate bars have a great texture to them (as well as a good taste). To get this close I ended up with 2 macro extension tubes on the 50mm lens to get me close enough. Just shot on a piece of A4 paper with daylight.

I love the game of Monopoly! Remember it too when I was a kid, my brother and I lying on the floor, playing for what seemed like forever! I always, always (and still do!) chose the boot!

I attached Nikkor 50mm f1.2 and a macroextension tube to NEX and took this.
Because depth of field is very shallow, focal adjustment is difficult. However, I think that it is not interesting when this is an auto focus.

NEXにnikkor 50mm f1.2とマクロエクステンションチューブをつけて撮りました。
被写界深度がとても浅いので、焦点をあわせるのがとても難しいです。しかし、これが自動焦点だと、きっと面白くないと思います。

I took this with tilt&shift lens which I made with macroextension tube and rubber gloves. The reason why a shadow looks blue is that I used the blue rubber gloves.

I went to cheer the eldest son at the athletic meet of the school of the eldest son on that day. I was able to take the shot of moment with in AutoNikkor200mm, when he played an active part a lot. In addition I was able to take a beautiful flower at this flower bed. I had 50mm and the macroextension tube and was a correct answer.

My wife made a make shift birdbath from a planter saucer and placed it on top of a short post. Before she knew it dozens of bees are now stopping to take a drink!!
