The Slipper Orchids (Phragmipedium) are my favorite orchid. I love the the symmetry and form of them.
As Chris mentioned the Cypripedium Orchids; they are another "Slipper Orchid" that I love.

Used a tripod and cable release. Natural light.
Yes, I was slicing bananas. Since 1997 I have enjoyed a Banana high-protein shake for breakfast. We go through a lot of bananas and it has got to the stage where, these days, I buy 30 bananas at a time. I then peel, slice and free-flow freeze them and we use a handful of the frozen slices each day. It's a delicious breakfast.
I've tried a number of different tripods over the years. At first I went for the cheapest ones, but they were no good because they were flimsy and often fell over. I have ended up with a fairly compact, yet strong, Zomei brand tripod with screw leg extensions. At first I wondered about buying it because it's orange, but in fact it has turned out to be my best tripod yet. It has travelled with me to many different locations around New Zealand and I love it, so I say "Yay" to Orange. The blue light was not originally intended to be in the picture. It reflected into my photo from a machine my husband was using next to where I was taking my photos, but in fact I like the effect so it has stayed. Sometimes unintended outcomes can be happy outcomes, can't they?
I chose Maori letters and numbers for the Numbers and Letters challenge because, starting from Friday July 2nd, it is the time of Matariki. Matariki is both the name of the Pleiades star cluster and also of the season of its first rising in late June or early July. This is a marker of the beginning of the new year. the Maori New Year in New Zealand.

National Trust. Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire. Autumn 2022.
A selection of shots taken at The National Trust's Clumber Park, capturing a hint of Autumn towards the end of November, late afternoon as Dusk was falling.
Clumber Park is a beautiful expanse of parkland, heath and woods covering more than 3,800 acres. It offers freedom to discover a ducal park - explore picturesque parkland and gardens, peaceful woodlands and a magnificent lake. Not only is Clumber's mosaic of habitats home to an amazing array of wildlife, it is listed Grade I on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

This tiny drop on a clover leaf in the grass was no more than 5mm diameter, yet look how it reflects a world in its bubble.
The theme is Phobia. Lepidopterophobia is the fear of butterflies or moths. While some people may have a mild fear of these insects, a phobia is when you have an excessive and irrational fear that interferes with your daily life.
Lepidoterophobia is pronounced lep-ah-dop-ter-a-pho-bee-ah.
Australian Guava Moth (Coscinoptycha improbana)>
This tiny moth (about 5mm long) appeared on the cover over a plant pot I have with seeds growing. I make the tent-like covers to keep the snails and slugs off the tiny plants until they grow large enough to be planted out.
Fortunately I don't have any fear of these lovely insects. Isn't it beautiful?

"I'm having an old friend for dinner." Hannibal Lecter. Silence of the Lambs.
Factoid: Turns out that cobwebs are only produced by Theridiidae (cobweb spiders) and Linyphiidae (money spiders) - all others should be just known as spider webs.
Wikipedia says - "A toothbrush is an oral hygiene instrument used to clean the teeth, gums, and tongue. It consists of a head of tightly clustered bristles, atop of which toothpaste can be applied, mounted on a handle which facilitates the cleaning of hard-to-reach areas of the mouth."
The ferns in my garden are steadily unfolding. Now's the perfect time to capture some macro shots.

Macro photograph of a ladybug (Coccinella septempunctata) on the edge of a leaf. The beetle has bright red elytra with the characteristic seven black spots and a black head with white markings. This species, also known as the seven-spot ladybird, is widespread in Europe and primarily feeds on aphids. The background is rendered in soft green tones, making the ladybug the focal point.

Recently visited Oldmoor Wood, Nottinghamshire. Oldmoor Wood is a woodland in Nottinghamshire, near the village of Strelley. It covers a total area of 15.11 hectares. It is owned and managed by The Woodland Trust.
I went primarily for the beautiful Bluebells. There is a mix of Native and Spanish Bluebells.
Native Bluebells are protected in the UK under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, 1981.
How to tell the difference.
English Bluebells: Flowers on one side of the stem.
Spanish Bluebells: Flowers all around the stem.
