I noticed this spider on the north side of my home and waited for sun and reduced wind to take its photo. Photo taken with old glass (90 mm Canon fd mount lens at f/11), 10 mm extension tube and manual focus.

Con su tela desplegada entre los eucaliptus

Found this one on a dusty window. Jumping spiders are among my favourite macro subjects. They initially run away when you approach them, but they are curious enough to turn back for a good look, giving you the perfect pose.

Shoot details: Tamron 90mm, f/16 for depth of field. Lighting using a Vivitar 285 on camera left through a plastic bowl. Triggered using a Cactus trigger (E-Bay remote).

A red ant on a new mimosa tree (actually a Albizia julibrissin or Persian Silk Tree) branch. The branch was covered in aphids, which you can see if you look very closely (they're the little yellowish things). Ladybugs were patrolling around to eat them, and ants presumably to gather honeydew from them. Ants are fascinating creatures...

Found in a head of lettuce I picked at a local farm.

No minibeasts were harmed in the taking of this photo! Definitely check out her lovely eyes on "large".....

Does it give you the creeps?

I found this spider in the garden shed. The picture was created from a focus stack of 103 photos taken with a Schneider f2.8 40mm APO lens reverse mounted and using a flash.

Old camcorder eye-piece as manual macro-lens.

The Bigger Jumping Spider hop and kill the small spider. Enjoy sucking the life out of the poor little fellow.

Handheld shot with Canon 5D, 100mm f2.8, 580EXii with homemade diffuser.

Cropped and minor adjustment on brightness and sharpness.

Strangely enough, I waited to open the paint pot!
