Another shot of the lovely cricket I saw in my garden the other day. No-one's contradicted me so far, so I'm hoping I've got the identification right.

One more in the Comments showing its long antennae.

She sucked my blood, and quite unexpectedly, perched on the front element of my Vivitar 300mm tele zoom. To capture the moment, I turned to my old Oly E510(mounted with 35macro), and of course, with the help of YongNuo 580II(w/ CTO filter) and two LED torch as extra light source.

Spotted this little fella during my macro shoot yesterday at Hunter Botanical Gardens (Heatherbrae, NSW; Australia).

Macro really makes you observe the world in much closer detail!

It's amazing how easy it is to just focus on things at a more distant range and miss on seeing a whole different world surrounding us!!

See the ripple in the syrup? :)

This guy was trapped in the house, apparently much too long. He was struggling to barely walk across the kitchen counter when I saw him and I think he was not too far from death. I gave him some water, then a dollop of syrup, which he obviously enjoyed. Then I took him outside... see next pic! www.flickr.com/photos/ferlinka/2506430749/

I'm not great at macros - I'm suprised it turned out this well. :)

Macro Are My Favorite Subjects Ever... Especially The Insect Like This...

Found at Kettle Moraine State Forest - Southern Unit. Waukesha County, Wisconsin, USA.

Single exposure, uncropped, handheld, in situ. Canon MT-24EX flash unit, Ian McConnachie diffuser.

Taken from Dhaka, Bangladesh with Canon 100mm Macro.

Not many insects around at this time of the year (it is mid-winter in Sydney) so this assassin bug was a welcome visitor (at least for a macro photographer).

If you are having your photo taken, you must have a clean antenna!
