One of the smallest bugs I've shot. I'm thinking some kind of very small flower fly - it's doing that fly thing with its back legs. But I can't be sure...the Seek app can't say...

Having a mosey amongst the undergrowth in the garden this morning which was very wet after heavy rain all day yesterday. It's brighter today but hoping it will get even brighter as friends are coming around for a BBQ this afternoon.

All the best hoppers have camo eyes!

 

No crop - had to spend quite some PP time to reduce the chromatic aberration since I am pushing beyond the quality of my lens.

 

No matter how much I stopped it down, I couldnt get the mouthparts in focus with the rest of the face.
