I can't remember the name of the plant - they always remind me of triffids

I picked up some flowers for myself because I haven't been able to take a lot of photos this winter.
making use of bridge cameras close focusing capabilities, Sony H50 can make it easy to take close ups really close. At the wide end, it can focus as close as 1 cm, sometimes i get too close to an object that it touches the lens but of course slightly out of focus. And it produces a nice bokeh too.
I liked the red bud in this plant, I liked the shot because it's red against green, two colors I like
