Photographing the Eastern Sedge Frogs at a nearby plant nursery always makes for an enjoyable macro experience. The Sedge Frogs are small with the baby on the lilypad being smaller than my thumbnail.

I attended a Greater Reading Area Photography Meet Up group event title "Fun with Liquid Drops".
I made an effort to capture work with the liquid drops but didn't do well. There were several other subjects around the room to try out some macro skills.
Nikon D5100 images were taken with a Nikon 60mm Macro lens. This isn't an AFS lens so focus was done manually.
Nikon P7700 images were taken with the camera set to Macro. While on the tripod, I made an effort to use manual focus, not easily done but I worked at it.
It should be noted that the meet up was held at the Berks Photographic Society's facility.
Besides gaining some macro experience, I took this opportunity to practice using Lightroom 5.

I'm new to the field of macro photography. I cannot identify even the most well known tiny plants, so I'm going to give myself a crash course in Botany to make my macro experience more informative and enjoyable to me, and more interesting and informative to my Flickr friends who are kind enough to look at my pictures.

This MAYFLY made a visit to a porch in Lakewood, Ohio. The variety of sizes and colors of its companions was fascinating. They were good subjects for this amateur photographer. Only the wind and my lack of macro experience were issues when attempting to shoot them.

1. Enfocar manualmente es muuuuuy complicado.
;))
