Monarch Caterpillar With Raindrops Eating Milkweed Plant Leaves. VLUU L200 / Samsung L200. SDC17043. This caterpillar is 3 to 4 inches long so I could only focus mainly on the center area in this macro capture.

I purchased and planted this milkweed plant less than two weeks ago, with the intention of bringing back monarch butterflies and I already have success.

© I believe you don't have to shoot flowers in the day light to get your best results. So I have been doing some night work with the front yard flowers, this was captured around 08:20 PM, I use a flash, for this Macro capture..

Unfortunately I was using my macro lens today so the curious sea lions chewing my flippers and nuzzling my camera were more of a nuisance than a photo op. These three shots are of the same young individual. I'm really happy with the detail of the iris that the macro captured!
