Having lightly sprayed a honey/sugar/spirullina mix onto the leaves of a camelia bush to see what it would attract, I was busy photographing loads of flies and hoverflies on one side of the bush when I moved around the bush I came face to face with a red admiral butterfly who was also enjoying the mix.

Deceided to have a go at some macro. These were taken at the new forest wild life park

We chased it forever, and finally got a shot. I love how you can see the expression on his/her face.

Ready to take off.

Saw at a riverside of Taiwan

Just something I shot while out in the garden!

This was the first macro shot I attempted on my first digital camera. A Finepix 5100. I was amazed at the detail when I blew it up and saw the hairs of a leg contrasted against the ridges of the palm.
