I got this shot after fishing at a high elevation lake in the Rocky Mountains. I believe this is called a Queens Crown wildflower. The official name is Rhodiola rhodantha and it grows in alpine and subalpine meadows and wetlands.
I took it from a street months ago. If you keep it indoors, it can keep the bright color and the scars become more evident. Still beautiful, much like aging, right?

Anepsion maritatum is a species of spider of the genus Anepsion. It is found in India, Sri Lanka, China to Sulawesi.

I had a lovely walk along the old railway track from Kiplingcoates station to Market Weighton yesterday afternoon .. my main aim was to try the new lens I've just purchased.. it certainly took some time to get used to using it .. the depth of field on these 1-1 magnification lenses are crazy but really fun at the same time .
So here's my first attempt at Macro Photography...
Probably not the best time to start but hopefully will get better come springtime next year .
