Our two daughters are still home from college, so it's going to be a busy weekend. By the way, we also have three sons at home (13, 15, 18) and a married son in law school. So we're ALWAYS busy with family activities. And I do find it hard to keep up with Flickr sometimes, just like all of you do. But I love to see your new posts. They are beautiful and inspiring! I appreciate you taking the time to view my photos, and I especially enjoy your comments. In the days ahead I'll be catching up with you. Have a great weekend!

How do I restart something that I never turned off? How do I leave almost 10 years of photos behind? Due to an issue with my Yahoo account I have lost 'control' of my Flickr account,
Lynn E Leith (Lynn - off & on) - it is orphaned.
I now have a new account, this photo stream, but I can no longer access or update any of the images in my original Flickr account; nor can I access the photo streams of the people whose photo's I follow, or the people who follow my photo stream, or all of the groups I've joined over the years. It is as though the hundreds of photos I've taken since 2008 and posted have been stolen from me.
This photo, Violet Sweet Violet, and some others I will post were taken prior to losing access to my original Flickr photo stream.

This is spring washer (and nut and bolt) from the Hejaz railway, I picked up in the desert north of Medina.
The Hejaz (or Hedjaz) railway (Turkish: Hicaz Demiryolu) was a narrow-gauge railway that ran from Damascus to Medina, through the Hejaz region of Saudi Arabia. It was a part of the Ottoman railway network and the original goal was to extend the line from the Haydarpaşa Terminal in Kadikoy beyond Damascus to the holy city of Mecca. However, construction was interrupted due to the outbreak of World War I, and it reached no further than Medina, 400 kilometres (250 mi) short of Mecca. The completed Damascus to Medina section was 1,300 kilometres (810 mi).
