Found this little one eating away while exploring in Maine with my macro lens.

An UVIVF (Ultraviolet-induced visible fluorescence) Macro photograph of the business end of a Centipede (fluorescing under 365nm UV light).

 

Ultraviolet means: "Beyond Violet", and refers to the beginning of the shorter (more energetic) Wavelengths of the Electromagnetic Spectrum of light. Beyond Ultraviolet lies X-Ray and Gamma Ray.

Photographed in a Godox Lighting Tent, to ensure that all external light was blocked.

Just a little macro shot I took the other day which I like, I just love deep colours especially Velvety red which this remind me off. Don't ask me what it is! It is just the tip of a branch growing in my garden that I just snapped as the colour just stood out in the sun. Hope somebody else can see what I see in this picture...

Ubiquitous throughout Ohio (the "Buckeye State") as a way to pay homage to The Ohio State University and its various sports teams and programs. A sure sign of a crazed populous when support comes via a poisonous necklace!
