This building always interesting to me, nice textures and tons of stuff going on, but it has been closed for many years.

2241 Montpelier Ave.

Opened 1932 and named for Alexander Lawton Miller. This high school was for girls only. In 1950 a Junior High School was built beside the High School. This old school has been closed for years.

Placed on NRHP Nov. 19,2014---No. 14000928.

This 8 year old's grave is in the Eglantine Square section of Rose Hill Cemetery. John Juhan wanted to be a fireman when he grew up, but he never got to grow up ...

His headstone depicts a fireman's hat, coat, and belt.

This photo makes me sad. The three triangles in this photo are actually the charred remains of burned rafters from the Nu-Way restaurant that recently caught fire. Unfortunately, the building was a total loss. This is the Earth Lodge. The interior contains the original clay floor dated about 1,000 years old.
