Duane Allman on left & Berry Oakley on right. They died in the early 70's. Both in motorcycle accidents, just a year apart.
Unfortunately they are building a wall around this plot. Not only was access limited, but as you can see, the gravestones themselves are both covered in plastic. Thus preventing me from a better perspective or more detailed pictures of their headstone inscriptions.
I sure hope someone official would be notified before some random person starts digging in a graveyard ...

The Library was erected in 1889 on Mulberry Street for the Public Library and Historical Society, which together occupied the second floor. The ground level was leased to commercial enterprises and initially housed a coffee shop. In the 1920's the library moved to a new facility on Washington Avenue.

Spc. George Delisle, of Macon Ga., a member of Company D, 1st Battalion, 179th Infantry, participates in an urban operations exercise during pre-mobilization training at Camp Gruber, Okla.. As a civilian he is a Veterinarian Technician, and has been in the Oklahoma Army National Guard about seven years. Delisle is attending the University of Central Oklahoma and is using Oklahoma Army National Guard Tuition Waiver. He said, “I am learning how to work as a team and I trust my fellow soldiers more and more every day.”

608 Mulberry Street
Originally know as the "Concert Hall" , has graced the City of Macon since the 1850's when Macon's downtown was lined with wagons full of cotton being traded and loaded on flat boats destined for Savannah, Ga.
Highly significant and architecturally pleasing, this buiding was erected as a collective venue by Payne & Nisber, Mix & Kirkland and J.A. & S.S Virgin. It has served many businesses during it's 150 years, it housed an apothecary shop of builder-owner G. Payne until 1889 and later shops of C.T. King until 1916, the Macon Drug Company and Keiser Drug until 1924. Additional street level businesses have included Mix & Kirkland bootery, W.L. Williams art company and Idle Hour Nursery and Florist among others. The second floor has served as offices to insurance, legal and real estate firms through the years.
In the early 1900's the bay windows and corner entrance were added.
In 1994 the building was purchased by Lawrence and Jonathan Mayer as a florist.

Bay Window Wonder.
The accurate name for these windows is Oriel Windows.
Remodeled in its Victorian Splendor in 1890.
At a slightly different angle than the one I uploaded to Shirley Butler's memorial.
