The people talking about iPhone biting into iPod sales are crazy, but tv is a whole other story.
How many MacMinis have I seen walk out the door of my store? Very few. And probably half of those sales are going to people who are using it as a media center. Hell, my parents were going to do the same thing.
At this point, the Mini remains to satisfy the needs of desktop-based switchers who have peripherals so sophisticated they want to keep them, but hardware expectations so low that they're happy with a Mini.
Right...
That, and the five-Mac households, but I think they could find other ways to spend their money if we killed the Mini.

So with a minimal change in connections I can now use the same workplace for three different systems. The Mac Mini, the Ubuntu PC and the Wii.
Installing Ubuntu on the open machine was quite a choire, btw.
Somehow, my buddy George hosed his G4 Mac Mini during an OSX re-install, and I pulled out good ol' Mr. Powerbook Pismo, circa 2001, to access the disk in firewire Target disk mode and scrub it so I could run Disk Warrior on his sytem.
Not really Horus, but an Alex Ross, Kingdom Come Hawkman. That's close enough until I can find a true Horus with at least minimum articulation.
Anyway, Godzilla versus an ancient Egyptian God would be most entertaining for me.

You all know I love Apple, but I have to be honest.
This is only the second time I've seen an Apple TV in a home.
Should I buy one when I upgrade my TV? Right now I'm strongly considering a Roku, but I also want to access Hulu and videos on my iMac (actually an external hard drive connected to my iMac). Perhaps a Mac Mini?
