2 layers of foam inside - bottom one is the Mac Mini and power brick. It was VERY cold, the poor thing.

Mac Mini 3,1 Intel Core 2 Duo 2ghz DIY upgraded with a Seagate 750 GB 7200 rpm hard drive and 8gb of OWC memory.
I still had the parts of a 6 or 7 years old computer, but couldn't assemble it, because I was missing some connectors. As I needed a Linux System and it is not possible with Windows 8 to run VMs due to the type of processor (my Intel Core 2 Quad doesn't have what it takes?) I decided to set it up without a case. And than I found out, the classic, 14 year old display has a video in, so I could use my old Wii with it (I don't have a TV anymore)

Day 219: Downsizing. The old PowerMac Dual G5 had a little one, and it already replaced him, because he was smaller and faster. The old grumpy G5 still had a little more stored in its head, but was beginning to show his age.
this is the first screenshot of Lucy, my mac mini. i still need to get tiger on her, and ... all upgraded to 1gb of ram. sooon.

Description: My Mac mini arrived prior the weekend so I got some time to play around with it before putting anything useful on it. So I installed Windows XP. I had some trouble making the XP boot stream CD, since I don't have access to Windows equipped PC with required software for the process. The driver support was also difficult. Without tutorials and tips in the forums at onmac.net this wouldn't been worth the time and effort, so kudos to them. Regarding WOW it runs times better in Windows still. The Mac port is probably just not optimized for this kind of video hardware yet. Haven't decided if I keep the Windows partition in the future since I run out of space quickly with only 60 GB.
What a magic little box I have here. <3
Okay, so I haven't had time to do a proper photo today! So shoot me...
This is where I am right now, in front of Flickr, with a plate of rapidly congealing food perched atop my disgustingly untidy desk.
Maybe this weekend's photos will depict the ancient art of House Work?
And yet another wiew of my macmini 1.5 Ghz Intel Core Solo on top. Iomega 250 GB external harddisk in the middle and LaCie cd/dvd writer on the bottom.
I love the view out of our front windows, looking out to the park across the street. I set up this area for the EMX because I'm in the process of importing and storing ~1000 cds at the desk (off camera to right) and wanted to fool around with the EMX while I did it. This led to a few hours of cleaning and finally to this.
This is a shot of the Music Station and the Mac Mini where I'm importing our music collection and archiving cds.
IMac G5 and Mac mini core duo - the second monitor working with my imac thanks to the screen spanning hack.

Just got my Belkin Hi-Speed USB & FireWire 6-Port Hub for the Mac mini in the mail today. Yay! I'll never run out of ports again... probably not true, but for the time being. :)
This was from the Toys R Us in Bay Plaza, (Bronx, NYC).
I was at the Apple Store on Spring St. in SoHo (NYC) using their MacMini which had bluetooth. I uploaded the two least embarrasing photos (in terms of lewdness) to the desktop and then uploaded to Flickr. So I'm definitely going to buy a bluetooth module/adapter soon. Be prepared for WAY more photos.
The Norwegian Broadcasting Company (NRK) are at the moment doing the longest LIVE televison broadcast ever (5 days continiously), covering the trip from Bergen to Kirkenes with Hurtigruten, along the Norwegian coast.
This is today (19th June 2011) at about 11:00 local time, shot when the ship is a bit south of Bodø.
Two traditional Nordlands boats in the foreground.
Sorry for the resolution, this is a shot of my 32" Philips TV screen, fed by HDMI cable from a MacMini, that gets video feed over wireless broadband connection to the net.
Outside here (Leiden) its raining cats and dogs. I seem to be in the wrong place.
