I am starting a 365 project with the only thing that is a passion to me asside from my family - geek life. Technology, pop-culture an similar stuff will be presented in the little bits that we perceive as the pieces of the everyday puzzle that builds the background of our lives.

Tried Apple's Boot Camp yesterday. In under an hour I could dual boot Windows XP and Mac OS X natively on my Mac mini! Spooky.
one of my beefs with the macmini: the immense dimensions of the power brick relative to the mini's size. that thing is hRuge!
I bought myself the iPod touch 8GB to tide me over until I buy my iMac when Leopard ships, hopefully at the end of October.

Screenshot of another bug within the Flock web browser for the Mac Mini. Within the preferences menu the right most tabs are not revealed. The tab I selected is the "Cache". Whether there are any more options beyond this I'm not sure?
The nervous system of my home network. My DSL modem, my gigabit ethernet switch (connecting the front room and my bedroom to the wired network), the Apple Time Capsule (also my 802.11n WiFi router), my intel Mac Mini which is now my media server and NAS and it's connected external hard drives (my iPhone and iPad sync with it).

I really have no explanation for this. The FedEx guy delivered a box from Apple and a box from Target.com, it was really early in the morning, and I was a little hung over, ok?
But to the hotplate's credit, during the four days it sat in my office attached to a keyboard and a monitor, it handily outperformed most of the Windows machines I've used. 100% uptime...and its firewall successfully blocked every virus and spyware app that tried to install itself.
The Mac Mini couldn't make coffee for crap, though.
a woman fawns over the mac mini. if there had been stock of them for sale there, there would have been guns and roses style riots.
Removed the battery because my attempts to clear CMOS using key combinations didn't seem to fix anything. This step was hard and I damaged the battery a bit and probably short circuited it :) Oh well, who needs it.

Quick post tonight. The HDD came in so a quick R&R and now I'm in the process of doing a Time Machine restore.
I sorta like how the Mac mini looks like without the cover, very terminator ish. I decided to play off that look with the key coming in red, followed by highlighting the corners in blue. What I found was that the one side of the stack facing the camera was really dark so I illuminated that side with a CTO speedlight.
I only wished that when you restore from a backup it would also restore all the updates that were done prior, bummer.
