The Mach Loop, Bwlch.

A beautiful winter's day on the way down from the Bwlch y Groes (the highest pass in Wales?) to Dinas Mawddwy and on to the Bwlch yr Oerddrws - all for the sake of seeing some exciting flying!

A day on Cad East overlooking the Mach Loop low flying area in LFA7, Mid Wales between Dolgellau and Machynlleth. An F15 Eagle from the 494th Squadron (Panthers) from the 48th Fighter Wing based at RAF Lakenheath.

Hawk XX189 (tail code CR) on its second circuit of the Mach Loop. The missile rails on the wings are a reminder of 100 Squadron's role in training pilots in the use of weapons.

A squirrel came through and nosed up towards cad west , gave us all a good photo opportunity for a head shot.
