To celebrate "Power Up at Your Library Day" (September 15th, 2016), patrons were invited to use the equipment, supplies and tools in the Innovation Lab to build a giant Rube Goldberg machine. The device was triggered using a Raspberry Pi monitoring Twitter, but most everything else was envisioned, designed and built by patrons on the fly. got a mini tour of these awesome machines. Belt and steam operated they are the machines that made machines. Startlingly quiet too.
