The old brake shoes had riveted linings with the front linings failing to pieces when i drilled the rivets out. A local company bonded new lining material on then I mounted them in the lathe with a shim around the cam to lift the shoes slightly. The material was easy to machine and the brakes seem pretty good. Time will tell for the finished bike.
