St. Mary’s Talent Shines in our 2014 School Production
St. Mary’s Menston again celebrated the school’s enormous talent as Shakespeare’s Macbeth was brought to the school stage. Under the guidance of Drama Teachers Miss Andrews and Miss Exworthy, a cast of forty students performed over three consecutive nights.
The play is considered to be one of Shakespeare’s darkest and most powerful tragedies and tells the story Macbeth, a brave Scottish general who receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland.
The entire cast and crew worked extremely hard for months to make the performances a resounding success. Sixth Form student George Bilenko was outstanding as Macbeth and Millie Malir, cast as Lady Macbeth, made such a difficult role appear easy. Other notable performances were Maddie Tysoe, Aimee Goodman and Keira Heckman who played the Witches.

Here's another photo of the new Dual SV Filter, this time pictured with the X-Series Oscillator. These modules are not just smaller and more economical variants of the Dual Oscillator and Backend Filter, they have different features too. The Oscillator has a wide range osc sweep knob, a switch for LFO mode as well as suboscillator outputs. The Dual SV Filter has 2 x 12db octave multimode filters and you can use it in stereo.

The next Eurorack module from Macbeth Studio Systems will be the Oscillator. More than just one half of the Dual Oscillator, this single module retains the full and rich sound of the original but offers a wide range Osc Sweep knob as opposed to the octave switch while still using the luxury multi-turn fine tuning pot. It also has a switch to put it into LFO mode as well as two seperate sub oscillator outputs- in addition to all the standard waveform outputs.
We expect the X-Series Oscillator in early January for a price around $699. The size is 21 HP. For those who already have a Dual Oscillator, it makes a perfect third oscillator/modulator for that classic "Minimoog voice".
