Protests continued for the 4th straight day against Moms for Liberty. Activists chanted, held signs, sang, yelled at M4L participants, heard speakers, and danced in unity.
Organizers know we need to build opposition now against fascism's rise before fascists gain power, when it will be too late.

Four airworthy Buchón's sitting togther on the flightline at Duxford during the Battle of Britain Airshow 2018. A wonderful sight that wasn't thought possible just a couple of years ago.
This aircraft, serial number 145, was constructed in Tablada Seville in 1958 and served with the Spanish Air Force as serial number C4K-105 until 1965. The aircraft was resurrected from storage, along with many others, for the filming of “The Battle of Britain” in 1968. After the completion of the filming the aircraft was shipped to Texas where it remained untouched in storage until 2015. The aircraft was then shipped to the UK by Air Leasing LTD in 2017 for restoration.
The Hispano Aviación HA-1109 and HA-1112 are license-built versions of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2 developed in Spain during and after World War II.

This Hispano Buchon represents a Messerschmitt Bf 109, marked in the colour scheme of Luftwaffe “White 9″, flown by Uffz Edmund Roβmann in September 1941.
The aircraft was resurrected from storage, along with many others, for the filming of “The Battle of Britain” in 1968. After the completion of the filming the aircraft was shipped to Texas where it remained untouched in storage until 2015. Since then the aircraft has returned to the UK and been restored to flight by Air Leasing Ltd.
The aircraft is seen here performing at The Victory Show 2018, at Cosby.

Supermarine Spitfire and Hispano Buchón team up for a display over Biggin Hill Airfield. The only remaining Spitfire T Mk VIII, originally built as a Type 359 Spitfire Mk. VIII was allocated to the Controller of Research and Development at High Post in June 1944. The airframe carrying the Royal Air Force serial number MT818 was purchased by Vickers in February 1945 and was converted to the Type 502 Spitfire T Mk VIII two-seat demonstration trainer at Chilbolton, first flying in September 1946. A full set of instruments was installed in the front cockpit for the student and four .303 Browning machine guns were retained for weapons training.

The Spanish Air Force operated the aircraft until late 1965.

The Buchon is essentially a Rolls-Royce Merlin-engined Messerschmitt Bf109. The Luftwaffe-manned Condor Legion left around 40 Bf109B/E’s for the Spanish Air Force to use upon its return to Germany in 1939. In 1943 the Spanish government agreed a licence production with Messerschmitt to produce 200 Bf109G’s. A total of 25 dismantled airframes were sent to Spain in 1943 as pattern aircraft for future production, although engines, propellers, tailplanes and armament failed to arrive. As the war worsened, Germany was unable to supply the remaining components for the airframes, the technical drawings or appropriate jigs. By late 1944, when neither missing parts nor engines were available from Germany, Hispano Aviacion modified the airframes and tried two different engines, the second French built engine being the
more successful.

The Hispano HA-1112-M4L “Buchon” is essentially a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine Messerschmitt Bf109. The Luftwaffe-manned Condor Legion upon its return to Germany in 1939, left around 40 Bf109B/E’s for the Spanish Air Force to use. In 1943 the Spanish government agreed to licence production with Messerschmitt to produce 200 Bf109G’s. As the war worsened, Germany was unable to supply the remaining components for the airframes. Improving relations between the Spanish government and the West from 1952, saw the powerful Rolls Royce Merlin engine sourced from Britain fitted to the airframe. The combination of ex-German airframe and British power plant was successful.
G-AWHC is the sole surviving two seat variant built by Hispano Aviacion in Saville in 1954. This aircraft was one of 27 purchased at auction from the Spanish Air Force by Spitfire Productions for use in the making of the 1968 movie “The Battle of Britain”. Luftwaffe Ace Adolf Galland flew G-AWHC during the movie. The aircraft was moved to Texas after filming and lay in storage there until being moved by Air Leasing LTD to the UK for restoration.
