The Tetons lie along an active fault approximately 40 miles in length. Because of that, they are still growing and evolving. The tallest peak, just right of center, is Grand Teton is 13,775 feet (4,199 m) high. Most of the range lies within Grand Teton National Park.

Porthmadog, known locally as "Port", is a small coastal town and community in the Eifionydd area of Gwynedd, in Wales. It has been so spelt officially since 1974. Before 1972 in the administrative county of Caernarfonshire, it lies 5 miles (8 km) east of Criccieth, 11 miles (18 km) south-west of Blaenau Ffestiniog, 25 miles (40 km) north of Dolgellau and 20 miles (32 km) south of Caernarfon. It developed in the 19th century as a port exporting slate to England and elsewhere, but since the decline of the industry it has become a shopping centre and tourist destination. It has easy access to Snowdonia National Park and is the terminus of the Ffestiniog Railway. The 1987 National Eisteddfod was held in Porthmadog. The community includes the nearby villages of Borth-y-Gest, Morfa Bychan and Tremadog.
M7 is one of the most prominent open clusters of stars on the sky. The cluster, dominated by bright blue stars, can be seen with the naked eye in a dark sky in the tail of the constellation of the Scorpion (Scorpius). M7 contains about 100 stars in total, is about 200 million years old, spans 25 light-years across, and lies about 1000 light-years away. The featured wide-angle image was taken near the city of Belo Horizonte in Brazil. The M7 star cluster has been known since ancient times, being noted by Ptolemy in the year 130 AD. Also visible are a dark dust cloud on the lower right, and, in the background, literally millions of unrelated stars towards the Galactic center. via NASA ift.tt/29BzBl2

There aren't really anymore nearby stores to go to. Williamsport was the next closest to Bath.

A happy façade, this life. A show of colors, festivities, and positive thinking. Just a veil to hide the growing cracks underneath.
What other way is there anyway? If you drop the pretence, won’t the cracks inside you break others too?
There. I said it. So sue me.
There's goings on occurring. And someone somewhere ain't telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. In fact, they're telling anything but the truth.
Ok, understood. We've had some wretched weather. Not in this particular corner of the rock, but some have suffered. But the so called 'Beast from the East' is regressing into memory. The big thaw is on. In my back yard the snow is gone, replaced by puddles, there's a little light drizzle in the air and it's a balmy 7 Centigrade.
And Arriva's excuse for not operating a service from Chester to Manchester for the fifth day in a row?
Severe weather conditions.
I'd suggest that if the good people of Helsby, Frodsham and Runcorn East don't see their Club train looming large on the horizon in the morning, and ATW play the weather card, there might just be considerable upset.
And you need not look smug either, Network Rail. Why have you not instituted some form of single line working around the damaged points 'somewhere' on the Marches? Ah yes, of course. It's in the file marked 'Too Difficult'. Meanwhile the line has no service again for the fifth day in a row.
My involvement with the railway is now roughly evenly divided, half in the BR era, half in the brave new privatised world. And in those 20 odd years since, I've yet to see one shred of evidence that now is better than then. And the current goings on tell just why.
As and end to this, for now at least, I've just looked on Arriva's own website. The service indicator for the Chester and Holyhead is red. Severe delays. Realtime trains tells me the latest a train has been at Rhyl this morning is, wait for it..., 6 minutes.
So, Arriva Trains Wales, Network Rail. Fancy coming clean?
Yeah right...

The darned squirrels are beating me to all of the mushrooms that have sprung up around our cabin. It is hard to find one that hasn't been stepped on by a moose - nibbled on by shrews - or hung to dry in the spruce trees, by the squirrels. Finding a pristine one to photograph is darned near impossible. When I found this tiny specimen in the undergrowth, I pounced on it sending shrews scattering. Now I know what lies beneath. *LOL
Culzean Castle is located near Maybole on the Ayrshire coast of Scotland. It is the former home of the Marquess of Ailsa, the chief of Clan Kennedy, but is now owned by the National Trust for Scotland. The clifftop castle lies within the Culzean Castle Country Park and is opened to the public since 1987 An illustration of the castle has featured on the reverse side of five pound notes issued by the Royal Bank of Scotland.
In 1945, the Kennedy family gave the castle and its grounds to the National Trust for Scotland (thus avoiding inheritance tax). In doing so, they stipulated that the apartment at the top of the castle be given to General of the Army Dwight D. Eisenhower in recognition of his role as Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe during the Second World War. The General first visited Culzean Castle in 1946 and stayed there four times, including once while President of the United States
