Torrential rain on the way home from work

Poole 09.09.2019

The reason I'm uploading this, is because the Sydenhams timber yard site is due to be knocked down at some point.

Planning permission has recently been granted for blocks of luxury flats, and a marina.

I was able to take the photo from an empty plot of land that is now accessible again.

Although it was grey first thing, the water was amazingly flat, making for lovely reflections

Day 1 of a 2 day event on and around Poole Quay, for the RNLI 200 year anniversary.

18.05.2024

A lovely day and then a cloudy evening-same for the last couple of days.

Still just posting a trio of shots I took this evening in bad light!

Dusk in Bournemouth, a few hand held shots, looking forward to getting down there with my tripod to do some after dark shots.

Just caught the sun before it went behind heavy cloud, and not re-appearing!

I've not been out and about with my camera much in the last couple of weeks. My husband had his other cataract operation, so he cannot drive, so I'm having to drive.

I don't like driving and am out of practice and lost my nerve, so a bit like a learner.

Chuffed with myself today as I drove us to Shaftesbury & back, and as anyone local knows it's an awful road!

25 degrees in Weymouth today....what's going on?

Two bank holidays in a row, with hot sunny weather

28.05.2018

Officially the wettest February on record in the UK. We saw a few flooded fields like this today as the water drains down from higher ground

A second visit to photograph the Upside Gallery street art project. The concrete pillars on the flyover have been transformed with street art murals.

I was lucky as there was a weather window with sunshine during my lunch break!

Covid summer 26.07.2020

waiting for summer, sun and flowers

I was hoping for a sunset, but just heavy cloud and low light. But there's always a photo to be had, somewhere!

Sandbanks 16.09.2018

Not my food, my husband has to make separate food for us both, this is ginger and turmeric root that he cooked with chopped garlic and blitzed to make a sauce. The dish is Royal Doulton "Pacific", which is lovely well made crockery.

Ironic that I can't eat anything myself today as I'm having treatment tomorrow.

We weren't looking for bluebells today, but came across this patch.

09.05.2021

The flat was so dusty, I took an afternoon off work to clean.

I only have a few bits of pottery left (sold a lot when we downsized), I think this is called "volcano", and it looks much better when it's been cleaned!
