Le pont Laviolette est un pont en treillis qui relie la ville de Trois-Rivières à Bécancour, sur la rive sud du fleuve Saint-Laurent. Les travaux de construction ont débuté en 1964 et se sont achevés en 1967. Un incident tragique est survenu le 7 septembre 1965, lorsqu’un caisson a cédé sous la pression de l’eau, entraînant la mort de douze ouvriers. Le pont a été inauguré le 20 décembre 1967. Son nom rend hommage au fondateur de Trois-Rivières, le sieur de Laviolette.
The Laviolette Bridge is a truss bridge that connects the city of Trois-Rivières to Bécancour, on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River. Construction began in 1964 and was completed in 1967. A tragic incident occurred on September 7, 1965, when a caisson gave way under water pressure, resulting in the deaths of twelve workers. The bridge was inaugurated on December 20, 1967. Its name honors the founder of Trois-Rivières, Sieur de Laviolette.

Morelia's El Acueducto is a treat to see in daylight but at night it is spectacular.
Morelia's first aqueduct was documented in 1549 used to transport fresh water to the city.
The aqueduct was made of used wood from canoes in the area to create the base structure during its construction.
As years passed there was an incident in 1784. Part of the aqueduct foundation collapsed, leaving hundreds without access to the water.
21 October, 1785, a document detailed the reconstruction of the aqueduct, and Fray Antonio de San Miguel volunteered to coordinate the reconstruction.
With Fray Antonio's plans, they completely reconstructed the arches with pink cantera stone.
The aqueduct remained in use until 1910.
The aqueduct structure consists of 253 arches over 1,700 metres in length.
