Customers and Crewmembers were treated to international food and music, highlighting the global nature of the event. MSN 20 and MSN 56 (ex D-AIGK) were supposed to enter service with Chaba Airlines in Thailand, but have appeared in Tehran in late December 2012 to enter service with Mahan Air after they were sold to Manas Airways or Kyrgyz Trans Avia before (unclear). Quite obscure...

Man bemerkt sie meist erst, wenn sie ihren Ruf laut heraus "trompeten". Sobald die erste Ernte wieder freie Landung auf den Feldern ermöglicht, findet man sie dort auch in kleineren Gruppen. Die Kraniche halten sich zum Teil auch in den kalten Wintermonaten im Bereich vom Kaltenhofer Moor auf, sind aber sehr scheu, und man braucht schon reichlich Glück, um sie aus der "Nähe" anzusehen.
Diese Aufnahme ist eher ein Schnappschuss, da sich die Kraniche in kürzester Zeit in immer größere Höhen geschraubt haben...
